Airbnb and the craze for Heated Rivalry come together with news that will make more than one fan sigh. The now iconic Barlochan Cottage is now available to book. The property, which won over audiences as one of the key settings in the Movistar + series, is stepping out of the world of the show to become a real getaway. Yes, that very same retreat that witnessed intense romantic moments is now opening its doors to travellers eager to live their own story by the lake.
Located in Torrance, Canada, on the shores of Lake Muskoka, the house is the actual location where the first season’s finale was filmed. In the series, it belonged to Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and was a key setting in the evolution of his relationship with Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie). Now, far from the cameras but retaining its cinematic charm, the cottage offers the opportunity to sleep — literally — in the same place where some of the scenes most talked about by fans (and, let’s admit it, also some of the most intense) took place.
The property can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms and three bathrooms, making it perfect for both a romantic getaway and a trip with friends. In addition to the privileged natural setting, guests will have access to kayaks and canoes to make the most of the lake. And, of course, there is the famous campfire area that appeared in the season finale, ideal for recreating (with discretion).
Just a 90-minute drive from Toronto Pearson International Airport, Barlochan Cottage combines seclusion and accessibility in equal measure. Reservations will be available from 3 March via Airbnb, so the quickest “Heated Rivalry” fans will have the chance to turn the television fantasy of the cottage into a very real experience.
