adidas Originals continues to write the story of its original icon

Created for basketball in 1969, adopted by hip hop pioneers, appropriated by skateboarders and elevated by the fashion industry, the Superstar has spanned generations without losing any of its original essence. And now, in the middle of 2026, adidas Originals is starting a new chapter where time is completely ignored.

The protagonist of this visual narrative is the great Samuel L. Jackson, who leads the campaign by embarking on a quest to find his own Superstars. The story unfolds in the surreal and cinematic Hotel Superstar, a space where time does not exist and where every door leads to the creative universe of a contemporary icon.

Directed by photographer and filmmaker Thibaut Grevet, a loyal collaborator of the brand, the piece transforms the hotel into a metaphor with endless corridors, rooms that open up to different disciplines and generations coexisting on the same plane. Because the Superstar does not belong to a specific era, but is part of those who push culture forward.

Along the way, Jackson encounters figures who define today’s culture from different disciplines, such as JENNIE, Kendall Jenner, Lamine Yamil, Baby Keem, James Harden, Tyshawn Jones and Olivia Dean. Each embodies the essence of the Superstar in their own way, serving as a connection between the different worlds to which they belong: fashion, music, sport and art.

This season, adidas Originals reimagines the silhouette without abandoning its essence. The classic black and white combination remains the backbone, but is intensified with vibrant red accents. Subtle adjustments in tones and textures have been made to provide a cleaner, more contemporary finish, fusing sports heritage with modern tailoring codes.
