The Belgian designer is stepping down as the brand’s creative director after five years at the helm.
Today marks the end of one of the most enduring – and culturally significant – eras in recent Parisian fashion. Nicolas Di Felice is closing a unique chapter in which he succeeded in reconnecting the brand’s history with the present. His Courrèges moved between futuristic nostalgia and an energy drawn directly from the dance floor. Vinyl, shifting structures and an almost hedonistic attitude forged a new language that connected directly with the younger generations.
In his farewell message, the designer expressed his particular gratitude to François Pinault and François-Henri Pinault for their trust, as well as acknowledging the work of the teams who have been part of this process. As he himself put it, it has been “a personal and creative journey”, highlighting the intensity of this phase.
