The collaboration between Disney, Pixar and Crocs lands with a proposal that’s hard to ignore: a capsule inspired by Toy Story 5 that translates Jessie’s iconic cowboy boots into the brand’s open silhouettes. Scheduled for release on 16 June, the drop takes two recognisable Crocs models as its starting point and pushes them into more narrative territory, where design becomes a direct extension of the characters.
The standout piece is the Jessie Boot, a reinterpretation that moves away from the classic clog format to become a taller silhouette. Built from water-resistant foam, it combines a moulded cow-print base with a bold red upper, clearly echoing the character’s signature western look. Functional pull tabs at the top and a more rugged outsole reinforce its practical edge, while the perforations allow for the addition of themed charms, expanding its customisation potential.
On the other hand, the Classic Clog “Alien” stays closer to the original model but introduces key visual updates. Its bright green base acts as a canvas for elements inspired by the saga’s little extraterrestrials. The pivoting heel strap ensures everyday comfort, while the charms — including moulded eyes, space insignias and Pizza Planet references — integrate directly into the shoe’s structure, adding a more interactive and dynamic feel.
In this sense, the drop also nods to Crocs’ current strategy of turning footwear into a creative platform. From partnerships with LEGO — where assembly and personalisation take centre stage — to playful details like the Mono Punch pin, the brand continues to build an interactive design language. More than simple collaborations, these are pieces designed for both Toy Story fans and those looking for character-driven design with a playful twist.
