The World Cup also comes to McDonald’s.
McDonald’s is gearing up for the FIFA World Cup 2026 with an ambitious campaign that combines football and collecting. The fast-food chain has unveiled a series of special releases designed to accompany the countdown to the tournament, offering fans an experience that goes beyond the usual menu. With exclusive products, themed packaging, and special collaborations, the brand aims to turn every visit into a small ritual before the big sporting event.
Starting June 4, McDonald’s restaurants in the United States will introduce the new FIFA World Cup 26 Menu. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, accompanied by a limited-edition Big Mac sauce presented in gold packaging. The offer also includes a special breakfast deal with options like the Sausage McMuffin with Egg or the Sausage Egg Biscuit alongside Hash Browns. But one of the main attractions comes in the form of a collection: nine exclusive cups featuring some of the most recognized figures in international football, including David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Christian Pulisic, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, and Santiago Giménez.
The celebration will continue with a collaboration with Squishmallows, which will result in a collection of 23 exclusive plush toys inspired by the football universe. Among them are the official tournament mascots, representing the three host countries—Canada, Mexico, and the United States—and featuring special designs with references to both the championship and McDonald’s. With this initiative, the brand strengthens its historical ties to football and extends the World Cup experience beyond the pitch, connecting with both fans and younger collectors.

The celebration will continue a few days later with the launch of the FIFA World Cup 26 Happy Meal, available from June 9.
