Euphoria says goodbye on HBO Max.
After weeks of dominating the social media conversation and establishing itself as one of the most talked-about television premieres of the year, the third season of Euphoria is now available in full on HBO Max. The series created by Sam Levinson closes its story with a final episode that brings an end to a show that, for years, has shaped the cultural conversation thanks to its visual identity, its characters, and its creative ambition.
Beyond High School
Four years after the previous season, Euphoria returns to show what has become of Rue, Nate, Cassie, Jules, Maddy, or Lexi far from the high school hallways that turned them into icons of a generation. In this new stage, the series led by Zendaya alongside Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow explores more adult conflicts, complex relationships, and settings that expand the emotional universe of its protagonists. Additionally, the new cast members include Rosalía and Priscilla Delgado, two additions that bring a Spanish touch to one of the most talked-about and influential productions of recent years.

Beyond the plotlines, this third season opts for a more ambitious and expansive look than previous installments. With Marcell Rév once again leading the cinematography, Euphoria embraces an aesthetic inspired by the contemporary western and stylized American cinema, featuring open landscapes, endless roads, and a constant sense of danger. The result is a visual narrative that at times recalls the universe of Quentin Tarantino or great road movies, moving away from the claustrophobic atmosphere of high school to venture into much wilder, more adult, and unpredictable territory.
Hans Zimmer Enters the Scene
The transformation of Euphoria can also be heard. The third season marks a new stage in its musical identity with the absence of Labrinth, the artist who helped define the series’ sound since its premiere in 2019. Although the British producer confirmed he decided not to participate in this new installment, his mark remains inseparable from some of the show’s most iconic moments. His departure makes way for a new creative chapter that accompanies the evolution of the series and its characters.
Hans Zimmer takes over solo, bringing a new musical dimension to a much more ambitious and cinematic season. His compositions accompany the series’ visual and narrative shift, reinforcing that atmosphere of westerns, the open road, and the search for redemption that runs through the new episodes. A change in sound that, just like with its protagonists, reflects Euphoria‘s evolution toward more adult and expansive territory.
A New Wardrobe for a New Era
The time jump in Euphoria not only transforms the lives of its protagonists but also completely redefines its aesthetic language. Under the direction of Natasha Newman-Thomas, the third season moves away from some of the teenage aesthetic that turned the series into a viral phenomenon to build a more mature, sophisticated wardrobe aligned with each character’s evolution. Far from just dressing its protagonists, the third season uses fashion to tell the story of who they are, what they want, and how they have changed. An evolution that confirms that, in Euphoria, the wardrobe remains as important as any dialogue.
Rue remains the great exception within the aesthetic universe of Euphoria. While the rest of the characters carefully construct their image, she moves between worn-out clothes, improvised layers, and pieces that seem to have survived the passage of time alongside her. Her inseparable Converse continue to be part of a wardrobe defined by functionality and instinct rather than trends, where vintage jackets coexist with references to brands like Levi’s, Roberto Cavalli, or Dior by Galliano.

If Rue’s style speaks of survival, Nate’s is built around control (at least at the start of the season). In this new stage, the character opts for a much more sophisticated and strategic image, using brands like Bottega Veneta to reinforce his position and project an idea of success. Impeccable shirts, luxury accessories, and an aesthetic that oscillates between a self-made businessman and an heir to power turn his wardrobe into an extension of his personality.

If there is one character who continues to chase an idealized version of herself, it is Cassie. Her wardrobe keeps intact that obsession with perfection, romanticism, and external validation that has defined her journey since the start of the series. Cartier jewelry, hyper-feminine outfits, and an increasingly theatrical aesthetic reinforce the image of a woman who continues to play the role she expects others to see. Even her wedding dress becomes the ultimate expression of that carefully constructed fantasy, although the events that mark the final stretch of the season end up opening the door to a different version of the character, much closer to her true self and far from the expectations that had defined her until then.

Maddy remains the ultimate style reference within Euphoria, but her evolution is also reflected in her wardrobe. Now linked to the world of celebrities and talent management, her access to luxury brands, vintage haute couture pieces, and exclusive accessories reinforces a more sophisticated and self-assured image. Her style maintains the confidence, magnetism, and attitude that have always characterized her, though a more mature version of the character is perceived in this new stage. This evolution also carries over to her personal relationships and finds one of its most significant moments in the unexpected reunion with Cassie at a pool.

While Jules explores a more artistic and refined aesthetic through exclusive dresses and haute couture pieces that accompany her creative process, Lexi opts for a much more authentic and everyday look. Her wardrobe is built from vintage garments and second-hand clothes, deliberately moving away from trends to reinforce a more discreet and observant personality.
With eight episodes in total, the season maintained a weekly release until reaching its long-awaited conclusion. A finale that brings an end to one of the most influential shows of recent years and reaffirms the cultural impact of Euphoria, a series capable of transcending the screen to become an aesthetic, musical, and generational reference.
