Last Thursday in Miami, at the Art Wynwood contemporary art fair, a carelessness of a guest led to a tragedy that ended with one of the works of artist Jeff Koons smashed to pieces.
It was one of the Balloon Dogs by artist Jeff Koons that was exhibited at the ‘Bel-Air’ gallery, valued at $42,000. Despite the indications of the gallery that warned not to touch any of the works, it was because of the carelessness of the woman that the famous blue sculpture of 38 centimeters high fell and broke in front of all the attendees of the private event.
Some guests claim that they even came to believe that it was part of a performance, but unfortunately that was not the reason. The positive part for the protagonist of the incident is that she will not have to pay for it since the work was insured.
And talking about art… Don’t miss the details about the dual art exhibition in Barcelona that you can’t miss: ‘Los límites que habito’.
