A$AP Rocky, new Fashion Icon and proud “girl dad”

A$AP Rocky not only stood out for his impeccable style at the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards, but also for the joy he radiates since becoming a father to a daughter. The artist, who was presented with the Fashion Icon award by Anna Wintour, confessed during the ceremony that he’s “glowing” thanks to his new chapter as a “girl dad.”

The rapper and Rihanna welcomed their first daughter, Rocki Irish Mayers, this past September. During a brief interview with Extra, Rocky couldn’t hide his excitement: “Being a girl dad is amazing. Look at me, I’m glowing,” he said with a laugh.

Rihanna joined her partner on the red carpet at the New York event, where the couple once again showcased their bond through music, fashion, and family. In a conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Rocky reflected on how meaningful it was to receive the same recognition Rihanna had earned 11 years earlier — a number he considers his lucky charm.

The artist also highlighted the singer’s influence on the style of their three children — RZA, Riot, and the newborn Rocki. Smiling, he described his daughter as his “baby twin”: “Rocki is cuter than ever. Being a girl dad makes me so happy.”
