A$AP Rocky teams up with Jessica Pratt to release the song of the summer "HIJACK"

This surprise release, which coincides with the first birthday of his and Rihanna’s son, Riot Rose, has left fans speculating about its inclusion on Rocky’s highly anticipated upcoming album, Don’t Be Dumb. The three-minute track features stellar production from Greg Kurstin, Jordan Patrick, Zach Fogarty and Hitkidd. Reminiscent of Rocky’s early work, “HIJACK” is notable for its melodic raps.

“I feel like the real thing is back, man, and it’s like, this shit is for the taking. It’s a hijack,” Rocky confessed in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “Not only that, we’re coming with a whole new aesthetic on everything, especially with the German expressionism and all the ghetto futurism. That’s what the sound and everything else sounds like. The sounds of it.”

Rocky also shared details about his creative process: “I’ve been working on this stuff, this material for a while, tweaking it and fixing it and stuff. So this was just one of the ones we decided on, it was the summer and here we are. He shot an image and yeah, this is part of the new saga.”
