‘Metal’ introduces the creative director’s first optical frames as creative director.
This season, just one year after taking on his role within the brand, A$AP Rocky proposes new silhouettes that draw on iconic styles from different decades. Bold metal frames and rimless models, both sunglasses and prescription glasses, range from soft oval curves to narrow rectangles, executed in timeless shades that amplify their character.
The collection features a wraparound frame with an overtly futuristic design, destined to become an instant icon. This exceptional piece will be available exclusively in selected stores and encapsulates the ambition of the project: to look to the archive without dwelling on it.
And what better way to unveil “Metal” to the world than with the legendary Nas, in a visual narrative loaded with symbolism. Set in a New York restaurant in the early hours of the morning, the campaign establishes a dialogue between past and present, evoking scenes typical of the 1990s but reinterpreting them through Rocky‘s contemporary lens.
