sacai presents its SS22 capsule collection featuring a collaboration with ACRONYM by Errolson Hugh. Chitose Abe’s label continues to release new designs with Nike and KAWS, while collaborating with PORTER and Ultimate Breaks & Beats, among others.
The sacai collection for the new season emphasises the meaning of unity and embodies the familiar technique of combining different materials. The duo seeks to merge two distinct ideas to create new designs, so it includes sacai’s signature fabrics and cuts with ACRONYM’s technical elements.
“Having known Chitose and, of course, Sacai, for many years, this collaboration is the ideal kind of cross-pollination,” said Errolson Hugh, “And as I think you can see from the results, it’s a true combination of both brands’ philosophies, where the sum is greater than the parts.”
“Bonding SS22 incorporates silhouettes such as bombers, trench coats, parkas along with shorts. In addition, ACRONYM’s first dress is a full midi structure that incorporates technical details. A cropped jacket, waistcoat and woven skirt are also in the collection.
