adidas reinterprets balletcore with the new Stan Smith Low

The ballet flat refuses to die. Rather, it’s regenerating in a new era of hybrid silhouettes that navigate the gap between everyday comfort and visual statement. From PUMA to Salomon, including ASICS, the revival continues to expand. Now, adidas is riding the wave with a closer approach to its roots: welcome to the Stan Smith Low.

After its collaboration with Taqwa Bint Ali—where they reinterpreted the Mary Jane in a contemporary way—the brand returns to the archive to reinvent one of its most timeless classics. The result is a choreographic reinterpretation of the iconic Stan Smith, this time disguised as an urban dancer without losing its minimalist DNA.

The new drop eliminates any obvious reference to the feminine cliché. Forget bows, lace, or flowers: this silhouette is built on a clean, refined upper. Leather takes center stage with a soft texture that almost blends with the skin. The seamless toe and ultra-flat sole elevate the design to a more lifestyle level.

The sneaker has been leaked by @addictorial.studio and is available in two colorways: full black or white with red accents. The Three Stripes are hinted at through perforations, while a leather strap hugs the back with a subtle yet recognizable Trefoil logo. Everything is thoughtful, everything is balanced.

adidas looks back at its golden archive, and this time it does so with the help of a living football legend: Zinedine Zidane.
