Just as she has mesmerised all the fashion brands in the catwalk shows and campaigns she stars in, with her succubus girl spirit, Gabriette has been altering the internet’s algorithms for a few seasons now. Clad in dark looks, like a sensual gothic woman with sharp eyebrows, jet black hair and a Kubrick look, the former member of the girl band ‘Nasty Cherry’, fashion icon and chef, has shown that modelling is not the only thing behind her viral success.
Gabbriette Bechtel, known mainly as Gabbriette, was born in Orange County, California, in 1997. The model is of Mexican and Swiss-German descent. The model initially wanted to be a ballet dancer and moved to Los Angeles to follow her dreams. Her big break came after she won the role of a dancer in the Blood Orange music video, which led to her being discovered by modelling agencies. Gabbriette was also part of the punk rock band Nasty Cherry alongside Charli XCX.
Aside from her role as a singer and model, her cooking skills are also making a big splash. During the Gabbriette pandemic, she became the chef of the internet with her recipes in Reel version. Three years later, every time she uploads a video it goes viral on social media, as was the case with one in which she recreated the famous vegan Erewhon cake. Since her beginnings, Gabbriette has defied conventional norms, always bringing a touch of authenticity to everything she does.
The artist follows the neo-punk beauty trend associated with a series of codes ranging from 90s thin, even bleached eyebrows to sunken cheeks, high cheekbones and full lips. While she has always maintained that essence that relates to the goth girl trend, the model refines and elevates her image with each season. From her Nasty Cherry days to her blondie era, we look back at Gabbriette’s aesthetic evolution over the years.
