Aimé Leon Dore unveils its latest collaboration with Porsche

The film posted on the brand’s social media begins with rapper Action Bronson sliding a Porsche key and an address written on a napkin. As the video progresses, it is revealed to be the Guards Red Porsche 944, the front-engined, rear-wheel-drive coupe that ran dormant from the 1980s until 1991.

While details are scarce, we know from a scene that the model is an ’86 Turbo with a dookie brown leather interior. The vehicle has been customised with details from the clothing brand. The car is powered by a 2.5-litre, 5-speed, turbocharged 4-cylinder, 2.5-litre engine with 217 hp and 243 lb-ft of torque.

The 944 was designed to compete against other coupes of the time, such as the Mazda RX-7 FC and Nissan 300ZX. Other details we noticed in the video are the 5-hole gold wheels, which match the bespoke decals and the embossed seats featuring the Aimé Leon Dore logo.

The New Balance 550 and 650 by Aimé Leon Dore are the latest collaboration from the genius Teddy Santis for this season.
