Dubbed “The Archetype,” the collaboration between Kith and Giorgio Armani explores the intersection of formalwear and visual storytelling across four unique capsules: “The Artist,” “The Entertainer,” “The Traveler,” and “The Entrepreneur.” Each capsule is distinguished by exclusive textiles, thoughtful silhouettes, and a distinctive color palette, accompanied by campaigns starring icons of film and fashion.
“From our earliest conversations, I knew I wanted this collection to revolve around the suit,” says Ronnie Fieg, founder and creative director of Kith. “For me, ‘suit’ and ‘Giorgio Armani’ are synonymous. In conceiving the narrative of the collection, I set out to pay homage to Mr. Armani’s career, reflecting the men he has most inspired throughout his career. There are countless people around the world, from various walks of life, who share the universal experience of wearing a Giorgio Armani suit. That idea was the seed of what we now know as ‘The Archetypes’.”
Each capsule captures a particular essence. “The Artist,” under the visual campaign direction of acclaimed Martin Scorsese, is presented in dark hues, with a black virgin wool double-breasted suit as the star piece. “The Entertainer,” fronted by Lakeith Stanfield, introduces a range of navy and dark green hues, with velvet silhouettes and carefully crafted details such as the double-breasted suit and velvet rugby shirts.
“The Traveler,” portrayed by the iconic Pierce Brosnan, unfolds in a palette of tan and brown tones. Key pieces include a three-piece suit, robe-style outerwear and cashmere accessories that evoke a sense of timeless sophistication. Finally, “The Entrepreneur” closes the offering with Ronnie Fieg as the protagonist. This capsule stands out with single-breasted jackets in dark brown, cashmere coats, midi quilted jackets and double-pleated trousers, capturing the essence of the modern entrepreneur.
The collection will debut in New York at a pop-up at the Upper East Side’s Townhouse, where the four archetypes will come to life in different spaces from September 6-7. It will continue its tour at London Fashion Week on September 12, followed by a launch at Giorgio Armani and Kith stores in the US and Canada on September 13. The tour will culminate with a pop-up at Milan Fashion Week on September 18 and conclude with a launch at Kith and Giorgio Armani stores in Europe, Japan and Korea on October 20, in addition to an online launch.
