On the occasion of LACMA’s Art & Film Gala 2023, the Italian house has presented ‘Ancora Notte’, a true celebration of nightlife.
Just weeks after the arrival of Gucci Ancora, Sabato de Sarno surprises again with a collection that shares the same attitude as its predecessor: it is grounded in reality and born of human joy and nature. The pieces feature delicate and precious embroidery inspired by a Gucci archive study – specifically of a selection of minaudière bags dating back to the 1950s – brought to life again.
Microshorts resurface to update the sensual crepe dresses paying homage to the nineties; while coats adorned with lace inserts and beaded fringes are combined with flowing silhouettes. Boundaries are blurred in a play of contrasts between day and nightwear, as it all depends on how you want to wear it.
The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) hosted notable figures in art, film, fashion and entertainment to honour Judy Baca and David Fincher. Gala co-chairs included LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio, as well as Sabato de Sarno and Jean-François Palús, CEO of Gucci.
