An exclusive selection of clothing, shoes, accessories and objects that brings together the artistry of some of Louis Vuitton‘s métiers with exceptional quality, gentleness and joy. The symbols of the maison are materialised with mischievous familiarity in the new Méli-Mélo, a pattern that rearranges the iconic monogram but, this time, with a touch of serenity.
The iconic LV flowers are present in the perforations of the leather shoes, drawn in three-dimensional stitch on the finest cashmere and as a discreet label attached to many of the pieces.
In this way, the fashion house has created a precious world in which each item will play a role in a baby’s life. In addition, the collection includes an element that becomes a gift for life: a wardrobe boot that embodies more than 160 years of Louis Vuitton tradition.
The idea of a baby collection is inspired by different moments in the maison’s history. Gaston Louis Vuitton introduced toys into the LV universe with a Salon de Jouets inside the Champs Elysées store in Paris in the 1930s. More recently, childhood was the leitmotif of the LV campaign.
In this way, the baby collection seeks to create an emotional link with the home in which memories become symbolic moments. Composed of a careful and exclusive selection of pieces with styles for everyday use and also for special occasions, as well as toys that will undoubtedly become memories for a lifetime. On white, beige and grey, the pastel motifs are enlivened with fun splashes.
The collection is designed for use up to 12 months of age and includes bodysuits, outfits, pyjamas, a dress and a double-sided hooded coat with Monogram flowers and the Méli-Mélo motif on the inside. All the details have been meticulously and delicately worked out: from the mother-of-pearl buttons on the cashmere cardigans to the small embroideries on the bloomers and bodysuits.
The two shoe styles available feature perforations adorned with the Monogram flower that adds an extra touch of cuteness to every look. The knitted slippers and flower beanies will keep the little ones’ feet and ears warm. Bibs, socks and other small accessories also make the perfect gift.
Finally, the warmth of the textile accessories cuddles the little ones: the natural silk teddy bear with embroidered flowers, the Monogram knitted blanket and the thick double-sided Méli-Mélo blanket. Two cases, a small suitcase and a vanity case reinterpret the traditional jacquard fabric with leather details and yellow piping. Engraved with different LV motifs, a silver tumbler, a keepsake box and a round rattle combine refinement and functionality to perfection.
The jacquard-covered Louis teddy bear with Monogram flower eyes and a cute smile will become baby’s best friend. Comfortable to the touch and designed to last, the materials have been carefully selected in line with Louis Vuitton‘s commitment to responsible sourcing. In addition, the cotton used is LWG certified, and the cashmere and sheep’s wool are sourced from animal welfare partners.
