Alpha Industries x Cecilie Bahnsen: the bomber jacket becomes hardcore poetry

Alpha Industries and Cecilie Bahnsen have teamed up for the first time to prove that romantic can also be powerful. A debut collaboration that blends military DNA with an almost dreamlike floral imagery. Streetwear that flirts with fairy tales—but with boots on.

The capsule collection reimagines two Alpha icons — the MA-1 and N-2B bomber jackets — and turns them into covetable pieces with a utilitarian soul and a couture heart. Three designs where the structure is softened without losing character, seen through Bahnsen’s ultra-recognisable filter: volume, texture and femininity.

Laser-cut flowers, embroidered patches and embossed finishes add movement and a tactile sensuality that respects the original silhouette. The MA-1 comes in black, cropped and architectural, with layers that open like petals. The N-2B, meanwhile, comes in tonal navy blue and military green with hints of powder pink. The key detail? A floral mosaic inspired by a vintage gardening book that Bahnsen discovered with his son—intimacy turned statement.

The hood can be removed to reveal the classic quilted “onion” look, now embellished with floral motifs. ‘I’ve always seen girls — especially in Japan — wearing bomber jackets over dresses,’ says Bahnsen. ‘Reinterpreting these iconic shapes from our idea of femininity was a natural evolution.’ And yes: well-understood contrast, guaranteed impact.
