Álvaro Díaz makes his NPR Tiny Desk debut with a star-studded band that includes GRAMMY-winning producers Manuel Lara and Felix Lara (Lara Project), Latin GRAMMY-winning artist Bebo Dumont (Cultura Profética), Luis Alfredo Del Valle (Buscabulla), Ben Aler and Xavier Rodriguez (Chango Menas). Díaz’s set includes music from his early discos, including ‘Todo Bien’, ‘Chicas de la Isla’, which went viral last year, ‘Miles de Mujeres’ and ‘Groupie Love’.
Diaz is currently wrapping up her festival tour in Spain and will soon kick off her Sayonara Tour, which begins August 31 in Toluca, Mexico. His headlining tour includes 8 stops in Mexico and 6 stops in major U.S. cities. The tour also includes a SOLD OUT show at Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional and a second performance making it his biggest concerts to date outside of Puerto Rico.
Her album Sayonara was certified gold in the U.S. by the RIAA Latin and has accumulated more than 400 million global plays to date. In addition, her singles ‘GATITAS SANDUNGUERAS VOL. 1’ with FEID and “QUIZÁS SI QUIZÁS NO” with Quevedo also achieved gold certifications in Spain.
