Madrid is set to become the global epicentre of the publishing sector from 21 to 23 October 2025. The city will host the 47th edition of the FIPP World Media Congress, the leading international conference for magazine editors. The event will take place at the iconic Círculo de Bellas Artes and will bring together editors, journalists, creators, technology companies and industry suppliers. It will provide a unique space to share experiences and build connections.

Following editions held in London, New York, Toronto and New Delhi, Madrid takes the reins. The city stands out for its growing influence in the world of publishing and its vibrant cultural scene. Since 1925, the year of its first edition, the FIPP World Media Congress has established itself as a key meeting point for the global magazine industry.

During the congress, participants will be able to explore emerging trends in the sector and analyse the current challenges facing the publishing industry. Key topics will include artificial intelligence, sustainability, diversification of business models and the most notable success stories.

Andrés Rodríguez, President of the Association of Information Magazines (ARI) and editor of Forbes Spain, emphasises the importance of the event: “Hosting the FIPP World Media Congress is a recognition of our ongoing efforts to drive the industry forward and foster an environment where ideas can flourish. We are proud to welcome friends from around the world and to showcase the energy and dynamism of our city.”

The previous edition in 2024 was held in Cascais, Portugal, and brought together over 450 professionals from more than 40 countries. This reinforced the FIPP World Media Congress as a global platform to discuss opportunities and challenges in the media industry.

With an agenda focused on the sector’s challenges and opportunities, Madrid reaffirms itself as a key centre for journalism, magazines and publishing. The congress will provide a forum to debate economic sustainability, subscription models and strategic partnerships.
