The South Sudanese ‘supernova’ model Anok Yai becomes, after Kylie Jenner, the image of the new autumn-winter 2023 campaign of the Swedish brand staged on an enchanted landscape.
From an evocative black sand beach to a pond of pistachio green water inspired by the ‘fantasy forest’ of the brand’s FW23 fashion show: imagination meets mysticism to build the scenarios of this campaign captured by Carlijn Jacobs, the photographer and creative in charge of creating all the visual effects that immerse us in the charm of Acne Studios.
Anok Yai unveils in this new episode the garments of the new collection with which its creative director, Johhny Johansson, seeks to project light in the dark. “With this collection I was thinking about the dark winters we have in Sweden, where there are few hours of light. I wanted to capture the beauty of darkness in both the collection and the set,” he explains.
As for the collection itself, it includes a layered two-piece ensemble in transparent neon pink, distressed leather garments, an asymmetrically cut textured gray top, a moss green knit dress and the brand’s new ‘Multipocket’ bag inspired by vintage cameras.
