One of the most prominent features is the introduction of personalized contact posters, which are displayed when someone calls, even in third-party apps. These posters can be designed with photos, Memoji and Apple’s own typography and fonts.

On the other hand, Live Voicemail offers real-time transcriptions of incoming voice messages. This tool is useful for those who can see your home screen, but may not have the bandwidth to pick up a call at a given time. If Mute unknown calls is enabled, unknown numbers are automatically routed to live voicemail, so the user can decide whether or not to answer.

Audio and video messages can also be left on FaceTime, and the StandBy feature allows the phone to be pinned to a stand to display specific widgets. In addition, iOS 17 includes improvements to AirDrop and a new Journal app, among other features.

In other news, Elon Musk wants to charge a fee to all X users for using the platform.
