Aries hacks Tommy Jeans in this capsule collection

The Tommy Jeans x Aries collection uses Aries’ artisanal techniques to reinvent Tommy’s classic codes.

Days after announcing his participation in the metaverse fashion week, Tommy counts on Aries for a collection inspired by the Tommy Jeans archives, revamped under the creative vision of the luxury streetwear brand.

Tommy x Aries collection features 35 pieces for men, women and footwear, united in a play of layered proportions and denim. Key pieces include the ribbon dress, the black trucker jacket with matching 5-pocket pants and the screen-printed baggy jeans.

Continuing with the sustainable commitment to create fashion for everyone without waste, the collection features Tommy x Aries: Remade, a selection of one-of-a-kind pieces handmade by Aries from existing garments. Among the women’s garments are corsets made from Tommy’s flag and recycled denim, vintage cropped tees, harnesses with jacquard ribbons and asymmetrical knit dresses. For men, vintage-style T-shirts and sweatshirts with remade Tommy flags and graffiti graphics stand out.

For the campaign, Tommy Hilfiger has enlisted photographer Angelo Pennetta, who brings his characteristic vision to the images. The images feature GRAMMY-nominated rapper GloRilla, artist Novelist and family and friends of Aries, the 5EB collective: Brian Tshabola, Haajar Djouada, Kasper Kapica, Kirbs, Nathan Rosen and Xiao Wang.

To complement the campaign, Aries founder and creative director Sofia Prantera has created an ad hoc fashion film. The audiovisual piece includes an instrumental version of GloRilla’s ‘Unh Unh’ with exclusive lyrics written by Novelist, Kirbs and 5EB. The film consists of eye-catching visuals that wink at moments in TOMMY JEANS’ hip-hop history.

The campaign, which will be launched in London, will feature street marketing with QR codes. Also, those who want to will be able to try on the collection virtually with augmented reality in store. In addition, the new Aries flagship store in London will celebrate the launch with an event that will bring together the creative universe of the city. In addition, an 8-bit video game has been created to encourage fans to sign up for the TOMMY HILFIGER membership program. They will be able to play to win garments from the collection and gain access to its pre-sale.

The collection will be available from March 31 in selected Tommy Jeans stores, on tommy.com and at the Aries store in London.
