Studio Ghibli’s long-awaited theme park looks like this

The first Ghibli theme park, located in Japan, will open its doors on 1 November and we have the trailer of what it will look like inside.

The first Ghibli theme park, located in the city of Nagakute, Japan, about three hours by train from Tokyo, has officially announced its opening date of 1 November, and we have the trailer of what it will look like inside.

The long-awaited theme park will be divided into five sections: Hill of Youth, Ghibli’s Large Warehouse, Mononoke’s Village, Valley of Witches and Dondoko Forest. Each section blends in with the park’s extensive natural landscape and references and recreates the settings of classic Hayao Miyazaki blockbusters such as My Neighbour Totoro, Laputa: A Castle in the Sky, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl’s Traveling Castle and more.

In a new video trailer for the park, visitors can see the lush surroundings and bamboo forests where the attractions are located, as well as Satsuki and Mei’s life-size house. Visitors will have access to the Hill of Youth, Ghibli Large Warehouse and Dondoko Forest sections for the time being. The Mononoke’s Village and Valley of Witches sections will be completed in autumn 2023.
