The championship that crowns the world’s best athletes is taking place in the Hungarian capital from 19 to 27 August. As always Nike is one of the sponsors and has customised medal-worthy items for the athletes.

The World Athletics Championships are 40 years old this August since their first edition in Helsinki 1983 and Budapest will host the 19th edition. This is the first time it will be held in Hungary and the first one a year after the last one in 2022 in Eugene (USA) due to pandemic postponements.

One of the most eagerly awaited athletes was 21-year-old Olympic and world 800m champion Athing Mu. At 19, she became the youngest woman in history to hold Olympic and world titles. In addition to her marks, she also stood out for wearing a custom Nike Air Zoom Maxflys “Mint Foam”.

Originally released in 1999, the Nike Air Zoom Drive gets an update from NOCTA this season.
