Awake NY x Vans Old Skool: an ode to skateboard culture

Awake NY and Vans brands team up to pay homage to the skate and punk culture of downtown New York with two special silhouettes.

Following their collaboration in 2021, the Vans and Awake NY release is a tribute to the skate and punk culture of downtown New York City in the 1990s. Punk was key during this era in NYC and this is captured through the yellow and black cow print.

The first silhouette is more flamboyant with green suede detailing and a purple stripe, while the other pair opts for black detailing. However, both silhouettes share the Awake NY logo on the heel, white laces, a white midsole and the classic Vans rubber sole.

The Awake NY x Vans Old Skool collection will hit the Awake NY webstore on January 6th.
