Axel Arigato enters the world of luxury by connecting with Mulberry

The Scandinavian brand Axel Arigato collaborates with the British Mulberry, thus taking its first steps in the luxury sector with a capsule collection.

Axel Arigato has merged with British luxury brand Mulberry to launch a limited-edition capsule comprised of 35 pieces. Combining his signature Scandinavian minimalism and British heritage, the collection features unisex ready-to-wear, handbags, footwear and accessories.

“Although founded in Sweden, since its inception Axel Arigato has had a strong following in the UK, so launching a collaboration with Mulberry, a brand firmly rooted in British fashion history, seemed a naturally intuitive partnership,” recounted Albin Johanson, co-founder of Axel Arigato.

The collection is inspired by pop culture from 50 years ago to the present day, with references from Mulberry’s iconic archive. Both brands are committed to sustainable fashion: the bags have been produced in Mulberry’s carbon-neutral factories in the UK, and made from environmentally accredited leathers. The shoes, on the other hand, have been handmade in Portugal from recycled PET bottles.

“We are delighted to introduce our collaboration with Axel Arigato, a brand that shares our values of community and creativity. Through Axel Arigato’s innovative and contemporary approach, iconic elements of our Mulberry DNA and archive have been reinterpreted in a collection with sustainability at its core, making this an exciting manifestation of the essence of our two brands,” explains Mulberry CEO Thierry Andretta.

The collaboration is available now at Axel Arigato and Mulberry.
