As 2025 comes to an end, Spotify has unveiled its anticipated Wrapped. Once again, the name dominating the global charts is Bad Bunny. The Puerto Rican artist regains his position as the world’s most-streamed musician. He reaches 19.8 billion streams, surpassing figures such as Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Drake, Billie Eilish and Kendrick Lamar.
His album DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS also stands out this year. The project has not only been a cultural phenomenon, but has also become the most-streamed record worldwide. With this, Bad Bunny reinforces an influence he maintains over both the industry and the audience year after year.
The global hit that defined the year
2025 has also seen another key moment. “Die With a Smile”, the collaboration between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, has claimed the title of the world’s most-streamed song. The success shows that pop continues to find new ways to go viral and move listeners.
Taylor Swift leads the U.S.
In the United States, the picture shifts. Taylor Swift becomes the country’s most-streamed artist. Meanwhile, “Luther”, the track by Kendrick Lamar featuring SZA, takes the position of the most-streamed domestic song.
Wrapped 2025 breaks records
Wrapped 2025 also stands out for its huge levels of engagement. The campaign reached 250 million users in just 65 hours — a figure that in 2024 took over a week to achieve. By 3 December, users had generated 575 million shares, with a notable rise on Instagram, where reposts almost doubled.
Spotify has also introduced Listening Age, a metric that estimates a user’s “sonic age” based on their listening habits. The feature adds a more playful and personal layer to the story-style format that has become part of December’s digital culture.
Bad Bunny once again proves that his influence transcends genres and borders. In 2025 — at least according to Spotify Wrapped — the year bears his signature once more.
Bad Bunny is also set to perform at the Super Bowl LX Halftime Show.
