The latest edition of MBFW Madrid 2025 closed with two leading names: Baro Lucas, who won the L’Oréal Paris Award for Best Collection with Tempus Fugit, and Guillermo Décimo, who received the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent for Best Emerging Designer with In Tempo.

On Saturday 20 September, Ifema Madrid hosted the L’Oréal Awards ceremony. Baro Lucas, born in Tordesillas, collected the prize for Tempus Fugit, his Spring/Summer 2026 proposal. The collection combined tailoring, coats and caftans with more relaxed pieces such as bermuda shorts and balloon-style trousers. The colour palette ranged from pastel yellow to Klein blue, with neutral whites and terracotta tones. At the same event, África García was named Best Model after walking in thirteen shows and consolidating her international career.
On Sunday 21, it was the turn of the Ego circuit. Nine emerging designers presented their collections alongside international guest Aleš Hnátek. The jury —including Valeria Mazza, Ana García-Siñeriz and Álvaro Lucas— chose Guillermo Décimo as the winner. His collection In Tempo, made up of 18 womenswear looks, explored the connections between music and dressmaking, offering a contemporary take on Parisian Haute Couture.
The judges highlighted his creativity, attention to craftsmanship and the quality of the fabrics. As part of the award, Décimo will showcase In Tempo at the next Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week.
