Louis Vuitton has presented its Women’s Spring-Summer 2026 collection in a setting steeped in history and symbolism: the Musée du Louvre. The show took place in the former summer apartments of Anne of Austria, Queen of France and mother of Louis XIV — a venue that reinforces the central concept of the collection: intimacy as an art of living.

This season, the French Maison proposes an exercise in introspection and personal freedom. The collection, defined by great sartorial liberty and a clear sense of stylistic emancipation, celebrates the ultimate luxury of dressing for oneself. Each garment becomes a confidence, a revelation that highlights individuality as the cornerstone of contemporary style.

Louis Vuitton reinterprets the “intimate wardrobe” through a subversive and creative lens. Traditional codes are transformed to express new possibilities. This journey through “my apartment”, as described in the collection’s narrative, explores gender archetypes and turns the act of dressing into a manifesto of authenticity and self-affirmation.

A sensory space

This scenography, conceived by designer and set designer Marie-Anne Derville, recreates a contemporary apartment that dialogues with different eras of French taste. The mise-en-scène brings together pieces by Robert Wilson, furniture by Georges Jacob, Art Deco seating by Michel Dufet from the 1930s, sculptures by Pierre-Adrian Dalpayrat, and creations by Derville herself. The result is a composition that traces an aesthetic journey from the 18th century to the present day.

The sensory experience was completed by original music composed by Tanguy Destable. The soundtrack features the lyrics of This Must Be The Place by David Byrne (Talking Heads), spoken by Cate Blanchett. A choice that reinforces the notion of home and belonging — the leitmotif of the show.

With this SS26 collection, Louis Vuitton reclaims intimacy as a space of freedom and authenticity. A place where dressing becomes a profoundly personal act — and the purest expression of the art of living.
