Belinda, Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Jaime Lorente will share screen in ‘Carlota’

This has been confirmed by the Spanish-American star after having conquered Cannes.

There are figures who embody with an innate naturalness that mix of charisma, talent and magnetism. And Belinda is one of them. Taking advantage of her visit to one of the most important film festivals of the moment, the artist unveiled her latest work: she will play Carlota de Habsburgo, the only empress Mexico has ever had, in a series that is already shaping up to be one of the most ambitious projects in Spanish-language historical fiction.

Produced by Sony Pictures, ‘Carlota’ will have a stellar cast made up of important names such as Jaime Lorente, Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Mabel Cadena, among others. Shooting will begin at the end of this year, and the official release date is still unknown, but it is possible that it will arrive during the first months of 2027.

Meanwhile, Belinda reaffirmed her iconic status on the Cannes red carpet, wearing exclusive looks by Chanel, Roberto Cavalli and Sabina Bilenko and dazzling the crowd.
