Cowboy boots may have taken street style by storm in recent months, but there’s another trend set to dethrone them: biker boots, a silhouette that had its moment in the 2010s thanks to models like Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.
With the grunge style of the time, biker boots quickly conquered fashion in the 2010s. This year, they are making a comeback at the hands of Miu Miu, whose Autumn-Winter 2023-2024 show presented a variation on the bikercore trend, a proposal that evokes the best of biker fashion. Now, however, it is making a comeback combined with the ballet-core trend. Celebrities such as Dua Lipa, Elsa Hosk and Cindy Bruna have already made this object of desire their own.
Other brands and houses have followed the trend, which will be at the top of our wish list this autumn. This was confirmed by the Spring-Summer 2023 collections of brands such as Dsquared2 and Celine. However, in the Autumn-Winter 2022 seasons, brands such as Miu Miu, Dior, Alexander McQueen and Acne Studios had already opted for this type of boot that can be combined with flowing lace dresses or skinny trousers to get as close as possible to the style of the 2010s.
Through Instagram and TikTok, this trend has been taking the trendsetters’ streetstyles by storm for a season now. Motorbike brand Harley Davidson, which also has a fashion section with biker boots for riding its vehicles, has found a huge demand for them, and they are even being resold on the Vinted app. Vagabond has also launched its own version, which sells out every week, and now, of course, it is coming to Inditex.
