Calvin Harris, Dellafuente and an ambitious line-up of electronic music.
Summer in the north of the Iberian Peninsula has a must-see event on 9, 10 and 11 July. Kobetamendi will once again become one of Europe’s cultural hotspots with the Bilbao BBK Live festival, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Among the latest additions to the line-up, two names stand out and are generating immediate excitement: Calvin Harris and Dellafuente. The Scottish producer will be bringing a set packed with the global hits that have defined commercial electronic music over the last few decades, cementing his status as one of the most influential DJs on the festival circuit. For his part, the Granada-born artist will bring one of the most personal acts on the line-up, presenting a special show designed for this summer, with a more organic approach centred on his latest work and his unmistakable blend of sounds.
In addition to these new additions, the line-up also features fresh voices from the international scene. The artist hemlocked springs will make her Spanish debut at the festival, whilst the British band Westside Cowboy will be appearing as one of the rising stars of today’s indie rock scene. Other acts, such as La Paloma and BARRRK, further enhance the diversity of the line-up.
As well as the main stages, Bilbao BBK Live will also be expanding its nightlife offering with events designed for clubbing. Highlights include Vampirina Club by Metrika & D. Basto and Hotcore Party: Taichu and Friends.
The festival has also unveiled the full line-up for Basoa and Lasai, the two venues dedicated to electronic music that have become hallmarks of the event. Basoa will once again be transformed into an immersive rave amidst the trees, where the most intense and experimental electronic music will take centre stage. Performing in this space will be acts such as 2ManyDJs, DJ Koze, DJ Nobu, Erol Alkan, Optimo, Paula Tape, Sedef Adasi, Vlada, Badsista, Bashkka, Dee Diggs, Donnato Dozzy, Guim, Mattias El Mansouri, Miravilles and Nicolas Lutz.
Meanwhile, Lasai will offer a unique experience: a stage dedicated to electronic music at under 100 BPM, inviting a more relaxed and sensory listening experience. The line-up includes Alexis Le-Tan, Amelia Holt, Elena Barker, Genosidra, Iro Aka, James Massiah, Joni DJ, Livwutang, Meritxell de Soto, Somadamantina, Suze Lio, Toni Bass, Torus and Ylia.
These names join the previously confirmed line-up, which includes Robbie Williams, David Byrne, Lily Allen, IDLES, Interpol, Charlotte de Witte, Richie Hawtin, Alabama Shakes, La M.O.D.A., Dani Fernández, Belén Aguilera, Ralphie Choo and Yerai Cortés, amongst many others.
