This year, the party at BIMBA Y LOLA has the soul of a prom party. Tables with tinsel, eggnog, cream tarts, and a haze that transforms the room into a disco about to implode. New York singer and songwriter Caroline Polachek, one of the most innovative pop artists on the scene today, stars in this year’s BIMBA Y LOLA Holiday Campaign.
Polachek, who broke the charts with the single ‘Bunny is a Rider’ (2021), makes a statement of intent with her abstract and incisive pop. Considered one of today’s most idiosyncratic artists, only she could embody this atypical, intellectual dancing queen, with a style as chameleon-like as her own, far removed from the stereotypes of this time of year. Behind the camera, the also artist Petra Collins, who repeats for BIMBA Y LOLA after directing the short film BIMBAYLOLIZED with Natasha Lyonne last autumn.
The campaign introduces the new key piece of the season: the HOBO POCKET BAG with SWAROVSKI crystals. Double handle and two front pockets with classic and heart-shaped Swarovski crystals. Made of leather and in size XS, it is available in six colours: black, red, burgundy, bone, moss and green.
The collection is completed by a selection of dresses also featuring the heart as an aesthetic motif. Fringes, asymmetrical straps, twisted sleeves, capes and puffed silhouettes on draped necklines for the perfect slip dress. A waxed leather set consisting of a maxi top with a heart brooch and a pair of trousers with metal piercings complete the look. A costume jewellery proposal featuring coloured heart-shaped stones and large silver stars.
