The Brain Dead and adidas Originals Japan Flames collection includes three models that reinterpret the Japan silhouette in a sporty and visual key, supported by a lookbook that emphasises its connection to wrestling aesthetics.
Following previous ventures into tennis and bowling — with the Stan Smith, the Forest Hills, and an exclusive edition for Dover Street Market — the duo now adds professional wrestling to their repertoire. This move aligns with the Brain Dead universe, which launched its own wrestling league, Brain Slam Wrestling, in 2022.
The collection features the Japan Lo, available in two colourways: brown with yellow and green details, and black with blue and off-white. They are made in leather, with two-toned suede flame overlays, contrasting leather stripes, textured laces, and co-branded insoles.
The Japan Hi comes in a single black colourway, with off-white and pine green details. Its design directly evokes the silhouette of a wrestling boot.
The Japan Flames collection will be available from 28 August via the official Brain Dead and adidas Originals channels.
