Burberry continues to pay tribute to London with ‘It’s always Burberry Weather’

The British fashion house highlights its legacy in outerwear with a campaign that blends fashion, cinema and London culture.

On this occasion, Daniel Lee unfolds a narrative that focuses on the city that saw the birth of the trench coat. Through four short films starring actress Olivia Colman and directed by John Madden (Shakespeare in Love, Captain Corelli’s Mandolin), Burberry invites us to explore London through the eyes of someone discovering it for the first time.

The main characters—a group of tourists fascinated by the charm of the British capital—encounter a series of individuals who embody the identity of the city: from a cricket fanatic to the woman behind the counter at a classic chip shop. All of them, played by Colman, compose a choral portrait of London life in cinematic terms.

‘Each film celebrates just a few of the many characters you can find in London,’ says Lee.

The casting reinforces Burberry‘s global energy with names such as Amelia Gray, Liu Wen, Lucky Blue Smith, Mona Tougaard and Tyson Beckford. Faces that connect the past and the future in a proposal that exudes contemporary elegance.
