Cameron Diaz recommends that couples sleep in separate bedrooms

On a recent episode of the Lipstick on the Rim podcast, hosted by model and actress Molly Sims and Emese Gormley, Cameron Diaz appeared as a special guest and shared her thoughts on life as a couple and how healthy it is for a relationship to sleep in separate beds. This after one of the interviewers admitted that her partner snores at night and that she can’t get used to it.

“We should normalise separate bedrooms,” Diaz said. “For me, literally, I have my house, you have yours. We have the family house in between. I go to sleep in my room. You go sleep in your room. I’m fine. And we have the bedroom in between where we can get together for our relationships,” the actress said, generating laughter from the interviewers.

Diaz, who welcomed her three-year-old daughter Raddix in January 2020, confessed that this was a way of dealing with unpleasant situations in the past, but apparently her marriage to Good Charlotte guitarist Benjamin Madden has gone so well that there has been no need to change beds. “By the way, I don’t feel that way now because my husband is wonderful. I used to say that before I got married,” Diaz said.

And this has been one of the few times that Cameron Diaz has decided to talk about her marriage. Although when she does, she leaves no one indifferent. If anything is clear, it is the love they feel for each other. Something that culminated with the birth of their daughter Raddix Madden, whom she is willing to protect from public exposure: “People know who I am, but I want her to have autonomy”.
