Cardi B and Offset become parents again for the third time

‘The cutest little thing’, the rapper posted on her Instagram, accompanying a carousel of photos and videos of her with her new baby. But the family doesn’t end there: Kulture (6), Wave (3) and, of course, Offset, the baby’s father and ex-husband, as they are in the middle of a divorce, also appear.

So far, Cardi has not revealed her baby’s name or face, but we do know that Offset was present during the birth. This would be the sixth child for Offset – Kiari Cephus, in case you’re interested – who already has three children from previous relationships: Jordan King with Justine Watson, Kody with Oriel Jamie, and Kalea Marie with Shya L’Amour. It seems the rapper is serious about expanding the Cephus dynasty.

The Cephus clan has always been close, at least in the public eye. The five little ones starred in Offset and Cardi B’s ‘Jealousy’ music video, released in July, proving that being a close-knit family was their personal trademark.

Since Cardi and Offset married in 2017, the Migos member has been surrounded by affairs and scandals with other women, although he has always denied any infidelity. But it seems that this time the rumours have been the straw that broke Cardi’s back. Sources close to Cardi suggest that emotional distance was the trigger for the break-up, more than anything else.

This isn’t the first time drama has knocked on the couple’s door. In the back-and-forth, Cardi filed for divorce in 2020 but they reconciled almost instantly. Now, the situation looks different: Cardi B won’t even hear from Offset and isn’t looking for any financial compensation, just primary custody of the three little ones. It looks like she’s serious this time.
