Casablanca gets caught up in the frenetic pace of Japan

Charaf Tajer has been exploring the country for more than two decades, and now condenses his personal archive into a unique proposal.

Rituals, symbols, and urban scenes that serve as mirrors of duality. Casablanca‘s FW25 collection is an everyday ecosystem full of contradictions, obsessions, and unexpected beauty, and visual artist Theo Liu has been tasked with capturing it. He has created a kind of fragmented diary of the city, where there are no forced scenes, but rather everyday moments charged with reality and narrative.

Beyond the pop surface, Charaf explores the idea of obsession in Japanese culture: collecting, studying, perfecting to the limit. An impulse that can border on fetishism and which, in this collection, translates into prints, cuts and details that flirt with tradition. It is Tokyo, both luminous and dark, a space where human relationships become complex, fragmented and deeply aesthetic.
