Cécred Reinvents care for Braids and Extensions

The new Protection Collection from Cécred, Beyoncé’s haircare line, focuses on the specific care needs of Black women who wear protective styles. From braids and extensions to cornrows and wigs, it addresses scalp health and hair integrity.

This collection consists of five products formulated to relieve tension, irritation, and fragility, which often accompany these styles. The Scalp Refreshing Spray acts as a no-rinse cleanse, removing build-up and dead skin. Contains a refreshing sensation thanks to its combination of PhytoFerment, peppermint, and ceramides, while its nocturne aroma—a blend of pink pepper, vanilla, cardamom, tonka bean, and oud—remains the line’s signature scent.

The Detangling Spray provides a gentle and effective solution for detangling. It adds moisture and slip with aloe vera and slippery elm, preventing breakage and promoting length retention. Its use before removing a protective style turns a complex task into an act of conscious care.

The Detoxifying Shampoo complements the routine by removing build-up and maintaining colour vibrancy. Thanks to its blue-violet pigments and Bioactive Keratin Ferment, it strengthens damaged hair. Meanwhile, the Hair & Scalp Balm transforms from balm to oil to protect and nourish both scalp and hair. It can be adapted to multiple uses within a haircare routine.

Finally, the Oil Ritual combines 21 oils, including an African oil selection, manuka, and peppermint. Its aim is to restore softness, shine, and smoothness to dry or dehydrated hair, incorporating the concept of ritual as an act of care and presence.
