‘Cerdo Agridulce’: an LGTBIQ+ short film about cannibalism

Álvaro Jiménez and Mikel D. Etxeberria present their most ambitious project to date: Bittersweet Pig. A short film about love and cannibalism starring Marta Sango and Patricia Guirado.

This short film was inspired by Álvaro Jiménez and Mikel D. Etxeberria, two filmmakers from Pamplona who created Cosmic Tree, a production company dedicated to the creation of audiovisual products and known for having created numerous video clips, including Camaleón (Belén Aguilera) and Nana Triste (Natalia Lacunza and Guitarricadelafuente). Bittersweet Pig’, which could be considered their most ambitious project, was born just before the pandemic.

In this short film they try to send a positive message of love, but showing the dark side of their protagonists and mixing it with comedy, fear and some quite mysterious cannibalistic tastes. The short film is about Julienne is a young cannibal who meets her victims through a dating app. One day she meets Sabrina and can’t help but fall in love with her dinner.

The protagonists of this short film, which mixes freshness, love, sporadic relationships and finding your place, are two well-known actresses: Marta Sango, who was in ‘Operación Triunfo’, and Patricia Guirado, who has acted in series such as ‘Mano de Hierro’ (Netflix) or ‘El inmortal’ (Movistar+). The short film has been selected in eight festivals and now their goal is to publish it for free on the Internet.

Our third Digital Cover is with one of the most promising young talents of the moment: Natalia Lacunza.
