Chanel boutique robbed of more than 6 million euros

The shop, located on the emblematic Avenue Montaigne in Paris, became the epicentre of the incident earlier in the morning.

As reported by AFP (Agence France-Presse), four individuals rammed a vehicle into the front of the boutique at around 5:15AM local time and stole numerous luxury items worth more than 6 million euros. They then set a fire and fled in a second car.

“We confirm that a steamroller assault took place at the Chanel boutique located at 42 Avenue Montaigne in Paris during the night of 9-10 June 2024. Fortunately, no employees were injured,“ a member of the Chanel team told WWD.

The exact amount of the theft is not yet known, and the store will remain closed until all the damage has been repaired.
