Chopova Lowena’s teenage punk dream continues in FW23

Emma Chopova and Laure Lowena-Irons’ eponymous brand, Chopova Lowena, continues to portray a whole generation of punk and decadent teenagers in this new FW23 grunge episode titled “Conversations with Angels” within the framework of London Fashion Week.

Conversations with angels and the light projected by the sky merge with the darkness of punk in this new party starring Lowena, in which the art of eclecticism and the unusual converge again, challenging and breaking with all the conventions or social constructions around the genre.

THE BEAUTY OF DECADENCE

This new dream induced by the cult brand once again fuses sustainability and craftsmanship, as concepts associated with its ethical dogma, which converge with its classic British aesthetics and Bulgarian folklore with codes and value systems influenced by counterculture and subculture.

If we focus on the silhouettes of the season, we can appreciate that powerful subversive vision, which we can find from its memorable skirts with metallic pleats to grunge outfits inspired by Kurt Cobain or worn jeans that follow that spirit of the youth revolution. A whole experimental universe in which fantastic prints in the form of teddy bears, pigs or bunnies, asymmetries or deconstruction make up different works of art or trompe l’oeil of fairy tales.

 

The collection also includes black dresses with demonic mice patterns, leather outfits or plaid pants and utilitarian bombers. Pieces that coexist with a series of accessories such as hand warmers with pink and black fuzzy stripes, as well as pink satin gloves for the oven, or bags with hearts with arrows stuck in them that close this cathartic circle of love-hate or pain and euphoria within the teenage drama.
