It’s still unclear whether Teletubbie boots are fantasy or horror, but Christian Cowan has managed to awaken our millennial nostalgia (if it had ever been dormant).
Dipsy is the Teletubbie star of the British designer‘s new boots. His antennae head takes over a knee-high silhouette in the iconic pistachio green colourway of the protagonist as well as the plush material. Just below, two arms protrude from the boot for an extra touch of realism while side zips complete the detailing.
“When we were deciding on our next collaboration we were looking at a lot of pop culture icons. That’s when we came up with THE icons,” says Christian Cowan.
In addition to the surreal boots, the collection includes a hoodie, T-shirt, jeans and matching denim jacket.
