Clarks Originals and Aleali May meet in a contemporary collection

Aleali May introduces Californian style to the iconic Clarks Wallabee boot for Autumn/Winter 2023.

Created by Lance Clark and first launched in 1968, the Wallabee quickly became a brand classic with its moccasin construction and natural crepe soles. As such, the Wallabee Boot features the same clean lines, enhanced with a high-cut upper. May‘s interpretation references the colourful landscapes of his home state, capturing the hues of Californian sunsets, sand and sea on the Pacific coast.

“This collaboration references many of my designs and uses corduroy, a staple fabric from California. Wallabees have always been a prominent element in hip-hop fashion and this is one of the many reasons why I love them,” says Aleali May.

Designed in corduroy, it’s a bold unisex option that will be available in a variety of colours: blue, terracotta, sand, sun and coral. They will be launched worldwide on 28 July via clarks.eu, in selected physical shops and at selected retailers.
