Chanel was right when it opted for short milky nails in its latest Cruise 2024 fashion show: natural nail designs that simply sublimate their beauty are taking centre stage in manicure trends. Beyond the return of taupe or black nails, clean nails are already the official manicure of 2024.
Clean nails could be defined as “flawless manicures that resemble skin tone with very natural, even transparent nail colours, but giving a subtle shine”, according to the experts at OPI. In 2023, celebrities such as Iris Law, Devon Carlson, Rosalia and Jisoo were the forerunners of the natural manicure.
Content creator @sydneyv.nichols posted a video on TikTok saying: “I’m so tired of going to a salon every other week to get a gel manicure. I decided in January that unless it was a special occasion, like a work meeting or a wedding, I was going to wear my nails bare.”
The fast food chain presents a nail polish set in collaboration with Nails.INC.
