COMME des GARÇONS has unveiled a special pop-up with Onitsuka Tiger under the concept “Holidays With Onitsuka Tiger”. The project reinterprets the most recognisable elements of the Japanese footwear brand through Rei Kawakubo’s creative lens.
The capsule includes T-shirts, classic-collar shirts, zip-up hoodies and nylon tote bags. All items feature a unified design, a black and “Tiger Yellow” checked pattern, the most iconic tone from Onitsuka Tiger, accompanied by co-branding from both labels.
The project also introduces a special take on the Mexico 66, one of Onitsuka Tiger’s most emblematic silhouettes. For this edition, four unique accessories have been created, wide original laces, hand-splattered paint, a yellow mask and a 3D-modelled part. Each element adds a new layer to the silhouette and reinforces its experimental direction.
Products from this collaboration range from ¥8,800 to ¥51,700 JPY (around $60 to $330 USD). The collection with Onitsuka Tiger will be available until 28 December at COMME des GARÇONS’ directly operated stores worldwide.
