Converse Japan is releasing a new Stranger Things collection inspired by the show’s fifth season. The capsule includes three of the brand’s key models — the Chuck Taylor All Star, Weapon and One Star — each featuring details that reference Hawkins and the series’ distinctive aesthetic.
Chuck Taylor All Star: nostalgia in six colours
The Chuck Taylor All Star leads the collection. It arrives in canvas and in six different colourways: red, black, green, peach, grey and navy. All versions — except the navy pair — feature a clean design with co-branded tongues and insoles, as well as the “FRIENDS DON’T LIE” stamp alongside the names of the young protagonists.
Meanwhile, the navy option stands out for its retro look. It pays tribute to the fictional radio station WSQK The Squawk, giving it a more vintage feel. The shoe retains the classic ankle patch and striped laces.
Weapon: retro styling and Hawkins High spirit
The Weapon delivers a more rigid silhouette, almost like a sports boot. It features a leather upper in cream and green, along with internal details tied to the series. The tongue hides a label printed with the Hawkins High School Tigers mascot. Aged-effect midsoles and white or orange laces enhance the worn-in look that suits the Stranger Things atmosphere.
One Star: a subtle nod to the Demogorgon
Finally, the One Star completes the collection with a low-top design in black suede. It includes white stitching and a clean, minimal finish. On the side panel, there is a subtle nod to the Demogorgon, while the insoles and heel branding also follow the series’ theme.
The Stranger Things x Converse Japan capsule launches on 27 November and will be available through Converse Japan. SKU and MSRP details will be announced soon.
