After two years of silence, Cupido returns just in time for Valentine’s Day with ‘Te hago un resumen’, a five-track EP that encapsulates the irreverent and transgressive essence of the band. This new work under the Sony Music Spain label marks the beginning of a new stage for the group and anticipates a year full of music, with a collaborative album scheduled for the end of 2025 and a tour of venues and arenas across Spain.
Cupido was born in 2018 as the union between Pimp Flaco and the Canarian indie rock band Solo Astra. Since their beginnings, they managed to consolidate themselves as a benchmark of alternative pop in Spain, with hits such as ‘La Pared’ or ‘Privilegios’, together with Feid. Their unique sound blurred the boundaries between genres, creating a fresh and distinctive proposal. Seven years later, the boyband par excellence of Indie Pop does not disappoint, taking risks with timeless melodies and their lyrics full of creativity, romanticism and irony that identifies them.
So, after their hiatus, they return with an EP that carries their DNA in every note. ‘Te hago un resumen’ EP is a return to their original magnetism with the homonymous track “Te hago un resumen” but also a surprise that includes a sort of rumba with “Maquina del tiempo” or a gift to their true fanbase thanks to “Espaguetis con Tomate”, which becomes a tribute to the band itself, reviewing some of the most famous songs of their career, a true summary of their hits in a new hit.
Accompanying this release, the band has worked with Estudio Bandiz to create the cover and the five visuals that complement the narrative of each song and amplify its unique aesthetic. Five Lyrics video that underline the concept and bring the most current Cupid.
And to give life to this new work Cupido announced their first show of the year, a concert that went beyond, because to celebrate their return, the quintet offered the San Cupido Party, a special event that took place in the Sala Changó in Madrid, where the band offered their first concert in 2018, a declaration of nostalgia. What was an intimate show, designed for their most loyal fans, soon turned out to be Sold Out – only in the Presale – a very good omen of what is to come during their spring-summer 2025 tour.
With an imagination that never runs out, a week ago they announced their reappearance with a teaser that left no one indifferent – under the arrangements of ‘Close to you’, a legendary work from the 70s by The Carpenters, Pimp Flaco sang a fun welcome to Valentine’s Day. Replicating the original video clip of the American vocal and instrumental duo and in just two witty verses, Cupido has done it again, he has created an anthem. The foreshadowing of this new EP, as current, shameless and dreamy as ever.

Moving away from conventional pop standards, they continue to mark their own path. ‘Te hago un resumen’ is just the beginning of a year in which Cupid falls in love again.
