After several collaborations, Yohji Yamamoto and New Era are teaming up once again to design a collection for the Spring/Summer 2023 season inspired by the dahlia that symbolises “the search for the outside within”.
Yohji Yamamoto and New Era have teamed up once again for a Spring/Summer 2023 collection and this time they have given up on black and the dahlia flower. Traditionally, end-of-season flowers symbolise “the search for inner strength”, and are gifted to people who are about to embark on a new path, while serving as a reminder.
Highlights of the collection include 9THIRTY ® caps with curved visors and Bucket-01 caps with dahlia illustrations. Variations include silhouettes with embroidery made of windproof PERTEX® material, while 59FIFTY baseball caps incorporate the quote: “Black is modest and arrogant at the same time. Black is lazy and easy, but mysterious. But above all, black says this: ‘I don’t bother you, you don’t bother me.
Among the fashion items in the latest collection from Yohji Yamamoto and New Era are the windbreaker jacket, hoodie, COOLERA™ performance T-shirt and fleece trousers. Rounding out the series are tote bags that come complimentary with every purchase, a dahlia flower backpack and a black quilted tote bag with writing.
The Yohji Yamamoto x New Era SS23 collection will launch on 5 April through the Yohji Yamamoto online shop and selected retailers.
adidas and Yohji Yamamoto create Y-3 Atelier to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their union.
